An unconventional path to the procedure room.
I didn’t begin my career in healthcare.
Before entering cardiovascular medicine, I built a professional life across business ownership, corporate sales, and financial services. I learned to sell, to listen, to earn trust, to understand customers, and to be accountable for results.
Then I made an unexpected turn: I went back to school to build an entirely new clinical career.
I trained in invasive cardiovascular medicine, eventually finding my way into electrophysiology—an environment where technology, anatomy, teamwork, judgment, and precision come together in real time.
Today, those careers no longer feel unrelated. Together, they shape how I understand people, technology, business, and clinical care.
Business Owner
Owned and operated an independent gift store. Learned firsthand what it means to understand customers, manage competing priorities, make decisions, and own the outcome.
Corporate Sales
Worked in hotel sales and exceeded my sales goal by 17%—experience that developed relationship-building, communication, and commercial accountability.
Financial Services
Worked with Morgan Stanley during two chapters of my career as a broker/advisor, developing experience with complex information, client relationships, financial decision-making, and professional trust.
Cardiovascular Medicine
Returned to school to build an entirely new technical career in invasive cardiovascular medicine, ultimately moving into electrophysiology and traveling clinical work—developing expertise in complex procedures, clinical technology, rapidly changing environments, and multidisciplinary teams.
